Update: During today’s shopping excursion I spoke with a local Vitamin
World manager who agreed the statement that the official economic
numbers are lies. She stated retail sales are falling, that this year is
worse than last year and last worse than the year prior. She also stated
that products are becoming more expensive and as a result people can afford
fewer things. A large local mall, Boulevard Mall may soon be torn down.
Also she admitted they are finding more and more items are missing from the
truck, even though they were ordered. Also we noticed today missing or
nearly missing items from Wegmans, considered the best supermarket chain in
the U.S. This is unusual for a Friday as the company is very diligent
about restocking items for weekends. The Vitamin World manager also agreed
the loss of retail shoppers is not entirely due to the Internet. So maybe
Cliff High’s Web Bot’s prediction that we are about to enter a depression
is about to come true. RAY
