Bryant & Stratton College Online Medical Reimbursement & Coding Degree (AAS) Now Offered in New York

Bryant & Stratton College Online, a leader in online associate degree programs, announced today that its online medical reimbursement and coding degree (MRC) is now available to students in New York to residents interested in distance education. The degree program prepares students to sit for the AHIMA or AAPC exams and begin working in the coding and reimbursement field. In addition to the MRC degree, Bryant & Stratton College Online offers another healthcare degree option, Medical Administrative Assistant an Associate of Applied Science degree.

 

“Bryant & Stratton College Online is excited to make the Medical Reimbursement and Coding A.A.S. degree available to students online. The MRC courses provide a foundation for a career in medical reimbursement and coding, teach students the skills needed to be successful inthe field and helps them explore their career options in healthcare,” said Scott Traylor, Associate Campus Director of Online Education at Bryant & Stratton College. “Online classes are offered in a flexible format which can be well-suited for people who want to earn a degree but need to do so while balancing an existing job, raising children or other responsibilities.”

 

The program is designed to educate students to become contributors in the workplace, through the achievement of program outcomes. Graduates of the MRC program will reach several program outcomes including:

 

·      Create a medical practice compliance plan based on national standards and have an understand coding, documentation and reimbursement ethics

·      Define the professional goals, career paths and practical strategies that will advance them in the healthcare field

·      Demonstrate a professional-level understanding of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology and pharmacology

 

The degree program also helps students connect to professional coding associations and learn how to network with professionals in the field.
