Bryant & Stratton College Online Health Services Administration Degree Now Offered in New York

Bryant & Stratton College Online announced today that its online Bachelor of Science in Health Services Administration program is now available to students in New York residents interested in online education. The degree program prepares graduates for entry-level and assistant management positions in medical settings such as hospitals, clinics, nursing care facilities, doctors’ offices and insurance companies. In addition to the Health Services Administration degree, Bryant & Stratton College Online offers other healthcare degree options including, a Medical Administrative Assistant Associate of Applied Science degree and a Medical Reimbursement & Coding Association of Applied Science degree.

 

“We are excited to announce that the Bachelor’s in Health Services Administration degree is now available to students online. Management is a growing part of careers in healthcare and this degree will help students learn the skills they’ll need to be successful,” said Scott Traylor, Associate Campus Director of Online Education at Bryant & Stratton College. “Plus, for busy people who are interested in advancing their career through a degree, taking classes online can be a good option because of the flexible format. Online classes give them the chance to earn a degree while balancing school with an existing job, raising children or other responsibilities.”

 

The degree program provides a comprehensive base in health-related knowledge and concepts and the management of health services and facilities, with emphases on finance, legal aspects in healthcare, disaster planning and management, and information systems. Graduates of the Bachelor of Science in Health Services Administration program will develop a set of career-related skills including how to:

 

·    Analyze and apply contemporary knowledge and skill sets to work effectively in a managerial capacity in a health services setting

·    Utilize effective skills in financial planning, long-term care management, human resource development, public safety, and emergency disaster planning in health service administration

·    Use legal and ethical principles to analyze and apply management practices of healthcare organizations and delivery of patient care

 

Research opportunities and field experiences will supplement classroom learning providing the opportunity for insight into real-world applications and helping students prepare for a successful career.
