Napier University Awarded First Class in Green League

Edinburgh Napier University has achieved a First Class award in the People and Planet Green League 2012.

Napier University which is led by Principal Dame Joan Stringer came 26th and was one of only 46 institutions that gained the top ranking in the league of 145 universities. This was the second year running that the university had been awarded the first class award.

The People & Planet Green League assesses the environmental and ethical performance of all universities annually and is published in the Guardian.

In Scotland, Edinburgh Napier University was only one of three universities to achieve a First Class award along with Edinburgh University and Queen Margaret University.
