A New Method of Cultivation That Will Change the Civilization

There are a lot of people in this world who just cannot catch up with new technologies when it comes to agriculture. In my country many methods that are proven to be very effective are still not in use and people tend to use those old methods which do not give very good results. The topic of this article deals with plants and gardening. What if I tell you that there are methods to grow your plants much faster, and that you will be able to grow them much more in the same amount of space. This kind of growing plants system includes two different approaches which are combined into one, thus keeping the best features of both.
Now, as I have mentioned before, when these two cultures are combined we get – aquaponics. First of all, this really DOES work. It was scientifically proven that using this technique improves the growth of the plants from fifty up to one hundred percent. It also improves the number of plants that can be cultivated in the same area. For example, if you were able to grow five plants of a kind in five square meters, you will be able to grow up to ten or maybe even more using this „approach“. Now you might wonder how does it work. Well it is pretty simple actually, and every man who has just a little bit of knowledge about gardening and growing plants will be able to understand the mechanism and make one of these „aquaponic“ things for themselves. Well here is how it works. First of all, you will need a fish farm where you will keep your fish. But after a while the water where the fish are becomes a bit toxic for them and if you do not change it, your fish will die. But that toxic part of water is just the thing we need. Namely, above the fish farm are the plants you want to grow which happen to be in that same water where your fish are.
With special equipment, those toxic parts of the water are separated and sent to the plants. You now probably wonder why would a plant need something toxic, and isn’t it counter-productive for the plants to receive toxic waste? Well, just ask yourselves why would we fertilize the ground with all those by-products that animals leave? It is the same principle here. Plants collect those toxic items as fertilizer and send the clean water back to the fish. The process is repeated many times, and that way, plants really do grow faster. But, that is not the only benefit. Plants can grow even bigger than usual because this kind of cultivation gives outstanding results. I must mention that I am no expert in aquaponics, but that I am indeed thrilled by the idea itself.
This method is not only productive, but it is also very fun. You can build and design your own aquaponics system using just the spare parts that you can find in your house. With enough imagination and enough creativity, you will be able to make spectacular systems with many fish and even more plants.
To sum up, this method is not actually new at all. It dates back to the civilisation of Aztecs who were converting whole islands into some kind of aquaponics systems and even then it was proven to be a very effective way of cultivation. Nowadays, this method has seen daylight again and more and more people are starting to opt for it, not only to cultivate their plants as a hobby, but also to use it in industry and economy.
