Indianapolis, IN (September 21, 2012) – The Mourdock campaign will begin airing “Dad” on statewide broadcast television today. The ad sets the record straight regarding Joe Donnelly’s attack ads distorting Richard Mourdock’s position on Medicare and Social Security. The ad stars Richard Mourdock’s father, a World War Two Navy Veteran.
“Richard Mourdock believes Hoosiers 55 and older shouldn’t see any changes in their benefits and wants to actually preserve Medicare and Social Security for future generations,” stated Mourdock spokesman Christopher Conner.
“In contrast, Joe Donnelly continues to say anything in an effort to run away from the president and his key vote for ObamaCare, which cuts Medicare by $716 billion and allows an elected board of bureaucrats to deny seniors health care. Donnelly’s position on Medicare and Social Security is especially troubling to Mourdock given that his parents, both World War Two veterans, depend on these programs.”
