President Obama has tuned down an invitation from the NAACP and other Black interest groups to take part in a discussion about the issues that are being faced by African-Americans in their communities.
The NAACP organized an event that was to be held on October 9 at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania, the nation’s oldest black degree-granting institution. An invitation was sent out to both President Obama and Republican challenger Mitt Romney. The two candidates were invited to come and discuss their plans for African Americans and their communities at a presidential forum and both declined to attend. readmorehere
