Clarification on Berkeley County School Board Race

Joe McKeown, campaign manager for Congressman Tim Scott, emphasized tonight that Scott did not endorse C. Kevin Cox for Berkeley County School Board. Mailers circulated by Mr. Cox imply an endorsement from Scott; however, Scott did not endorse any candidate in the race.
“The residents of Berkeley County have multiple conservative candidates to choose from for County School Board, and I simply want to set the record straight,” McKeown said. “We have called Mr. Cox and asked him to stop circulating the mailers, and I wish all of the conservative candidates for Berkeley County School Board well on Tuesday.”
