The Secret Service was forced to foil repeated assassination attempts on the two presidential candidates in the run-up to this year’s election, it has been claimed.
An article in GQ made the startling assertion that ‘several assassination plots were nipped in the bud’ by agents during the course of the campaign.
However, some are now sceptical about the claims, insisting that there were no more than a handful of attempts on the lives of Barack Obama and Mitt Romney this year.
