Runyan camp says Adler should be embarrassed for ever airing it

Evesham, November 1, 2012 – Democratic congressional candidate Shelley Adler (NJ-3) should immediately take down and apologize for airing a radio attack ad that inexplicably compares Congressman Jon Runyan’s record to Hurricane Sandy, said the Runyan campaign today.

A copy of the ad is embedded below.

“Shelley Adler should immediately take down this ridiculous and insulting ad, and publicly apologize to the people of Ocean and Burlington Counties, many of whom have been devastated by Hurricane Sandy,” said Runyan Campaign Manager Kristin Antonello.  “Shelley Adler’s campaign has been dishonest and nasty from the start, but she should be embarrassed by her decision to ever run this radio ad.  It really brings her judgment into question.”

Antonello said that Congressman Runyan, who has suspended retail campaigning to tour impacted areas and meet with residents, emergency personnel and first responders, has been approached numerous times about the ad.

“Congressman Runyan said the reaction is universal – disgust,” added Antonello.
