There’s nothing like educating people with a good dose of fun. And this is what creative agency Manifold did last year on behalf of Sungetivity when the solar leasing company introduced its solar energy products in the East Coast.

The agency hit the road with a solar-powered ice pop truck, and for seven weeks it toured five states, 37 cities and 60 events. It attracted a great deal of media interest, which was great for Sungevity and alternative energy as a whole.

Sungetivity’s irreverent approach to marketing adds a fresh voice to the solar community. They even have a funk band aptly named The Killa Watts, which performed at the recent 2012 Solar Battle of the Bands, coming second. One of their songs is called “There’s Only So Much Oil”. We haven’t listened to their music yet, but with song titles like that, we like them already!
