Sandra asks…
I dont care how, i would be happiest with a step down transfomer but i dont know if that will work. It can charge a battery then i use the battery with a decnt amperage. im just looking for a way to do it.
feel free to email me about my project, i dont know if my email will show up under my profile so here it is : buildthat@yahoo.com
id also be willing to switch it to ac current then back to dc if that is efficent
it is also not a solar cell… but it generates dc current that i need to increase the amperage of

Transformers are AC only.
Three ways to do it:
1. Charge up a battery
2. Buck converter See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buck_converter
3. DC to DC converter – chop the input, run it through a transformer, then rectify the output
;As to what is practical, stat with what are the input voltage & current available and what is the output used for?

Is this further proof green jobs are not worth it.

The company became the first recipient of an Energy Department loan guarantee under the stimulus in March 2009, which was intended to “finance construction of the first phase of the company’s new manufacturing facility” for photovoltaic solar panels.
The Energy Department estimated in a March 20, 2009 press release that the loan guarantee would create 3,000 construction jobs and a further 1,000 jobs after the plant opened.
And President Barack Obama and Vice President Joseph Biden each personally showcased Solyndra as an example of how stimulus dollars were at work creating jobs, during appearances at the company over the course of the following year.
