Vonnie Lopez sings the stuffing out of this warm, contemporary worship ballad on the power and sweetness of the name Jesus. During the first half, Lopez savors the name like sweet honey. In the second half, she shouts it with the power of fiery gospel evangelism.
Ms. Lopez is a member of the Grammy and Stellar Award-winning group Kurt Carr & Kurt Carr Singers. In addition to singing, Lopez is Vice President of Jordan International Aid, which offers aid to third-world countries and assists with disaster relief worldwide. She is also the founder of Renewing My Spirit, a women’s conference held each year in Union City, California.
The mother of two children, Vonnie Lopez is married to Pastor Aaron Lopez. Together, they pastor the Eastwood Church in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
