Mr. Polka Dot

Batman may very well be the most iconic comic book series of all time, but it also has some of the most ridiculous villains. Even some of Batman’s most recognizable foes are quite odd compared to the well developed characters seen in other comics like X-Men. Some of these villains are so terribly conceived that they’re just plain funny. Have a laugh and take a look at all 10 of these laughably lame Batman villains.

First up is Mr. Polka Dot, who first appeared in Detective Comics #300. This ridiculous villain has the ability to rip off the dots on his costume which them transform into a variety of devices like a buzz saw and a flying saucer.

Quote: “I’m NOT specked! I’m the Polka Dot Man.”

Calculator

Calculator

Calculator first appeared in Detective Comics #463. He purposefully fought superheroes to learn their abilities using his costume that analyzes his opponents’ tactics. He later re-invented himself as the brains of the Secret Society of Super-Villains and became considerably less lame.

Quote: “Observe–as I calculate the answer!”

Crazy Quilt

Crazy Quilt

Crazy Quilt first appeared in Boy Commandos #15. This guy was blinded after being shot by a fellow criminal and then regained his sight through an experimental procedure. The surgery unfortunately caused him to see only bright and vivid colors, which drove him to insanity. His powers come from his hypnotizing helmet that also projects laser beams and allows Crazy Quilt to see.

Quote: “From my fingers, I release fabulous symphonies of color!”

Ten-Eyed Man

Ten-Eyed Man

Ten-Eyed Man made his first appearance in Batman #226. This war veteran was blinded in warehouse explosion and then gained sight through a procedure that allowed his fingers to act as eyes.

Quote: “I’ve got Batman dead in my sights!”

Killer Moth

Killer Moth

The Killer Moth first appeared in Batman #63 as a criminal for hire. He utilized a flight suit, a cocoon gun, and sonar to pull off his crimes. He later lost his human intelligence and became a moth-monster known as ‘Charaxes.’

Quote: “I’m zeroing in on the Batman’s anti-crime arsenal…my antennae can sense it!”

The Eraser

The Eraser

The Eraser first showed up in Batman #188 with his specially-designed helmet that removes evidence from a crime scene. Of course, he felt the need to dress up as a giant pencil to compliment this ability.

Quote: “Don’t take chances! Let the ‘Eraser’ erase every clue from your crimes!”

Zodiac Master

Zodiac Master

The Zodiac Master made his first appearance in Detective Comics #323. This laughable villain tricked the underworld into relying on him for predictions regarding the success or failure of any given crime. Batman defeated Zodiac Man with one of his own weapons, a rocket-propelled goat’s head.

Quote: “The stars know all! The constellations foretold a disaster…”

8:

Mister Camera

Mister Camera

Mister Camera is a small-time villain that first appeared in Batman #81. This villain only made a couple appearances in the entire series thanks to his ridiculous outfit and lack of purpose. His only ability is the ability to record film with the giant camera on his head.

Quote: “The camera was running while you were in that alley, Batman!

Penny Plunderer

Penny Plunderer

The Penny Plunderer debuted in World’s Finest Comics #30. This pathetic villain only committed crimes involving pennies, and did not have any powers or abilities. The giant penny often seen in the Batcave is actually from this storyline, but was later re-written into Two Face’s storyline.

Quote: “Here’s two cents–that’s all your lives will be worth in a little while!”

10:

Rainbow Creature

Rainbow Creature

Last on the list, but just as lame as the others in the Rainbow Creature. It first appeared in Batman #134 and was somehow created from a freak accident with a volcano. This monster contains different powers within each stripe, with the green stripe able to flatten enemies into a two dimensional form.

Quote (spoken by Batman): “The green aura–it’s made us as thin as leaves!”
