(Before It's News)

The group thing proved to be unsuccessful for both Hurst and Mayne so they both set out seeking success in solo careers. Years passed, time passed and friends changed but the love for the game was still there in both parties. In 2010, Big Hurst and Mysta Mayne met for the first time at a run down hotel room in Lafayette, Louisiana. Both artists were signed to a label run by another well known local artist, (Vicious) called Vicious Entertainment. Originally, Hurst and Mayne were in a group with 5 other artist in the area called the Vicious All-stars. An album was put together in a timely fashion but never released due to technical issues with the label. Eventually both artist stood out on songs and performances and soon had a realization that they were the life of the label and proceeded to team up. In 2012, Hurst and Mayne released a mix tape on Vicious Entertainment called Hustle & Muscle. They hit the streets with the 90’s hustle out of the trunk and sold almost 20,000 copies hand to hand. Till this day, no artist in the Lafayette area has come close or matched the numbers these two put up on a mix tape. Things at Vicious entertainment started going south for both artists so in 2013 they decided it was time to cut ties with the label and move on. Later that year BH & MM, inked a deal with another local label called shake back Entertainment and the rest is history! With packed venues, and thousands of records sold both artist have developed a confidence like no other, spitting out raw, uncut, melodious rhymes. With the biggest performance of their career to date at the Cajun dome with a well known nationwide artist such as Lil Boosie, Z-ro, Jeezy and Kevin gates, Hurst and Mayne are striving to get the recognition they deserve. BH & MM has worked with a number of artists such as Vicious, Cupid, C-Loc, Moneybags, Hatch boy and T-Barker. With the first album called Now-or-Never set to be released on Shake back Entertainment, both artist are ready for the lime light and will do whatever it takes to get there.
