Underground Inc., A Kickstarter Indie Film Project That Explores The Reality Of Alternative Rock Music Of The 90s
Underground Inc. is an indie film Kickstarter project that revolves around a rock documentary project. The documentary film explores the alternative rock scene of the 90s in the US and what happened behind the scenes that fans of this music genre hardly came to know before this. The alternative rock scene emerged during the early 90s with bands such as Nirvana that swept the charts and had a massive fan response that even surpassed that of established record artists.
Many of the bands that came up during this time were initially supported by indie record labels. However, as these rock acts rose in popularity, many of the indie record labels were rapidly bought out by major commercial labels of the day. While the rock artists themselves seemed to be set on a path of great fame and glory, the truth is many of these bands were never really heard of after a point of time.
The truth behind the scene was that mismanagement within the music industry, business dealings that went wrong and difficult ego battles lead to a serious lack of awareness relating to some of the most gifted rock artists of the era. The indie film Underground Inc. is going to take the viewers through the music scene of Seattle for providing with an inside look at what went on beyond the music that characterized this turbulent decade where much music was made that still defines musical directions of new artists today.
The project is going to be a major rock movie that is going to feature music from Alex Newport and commentaries by Matt Wallace of Faith No More and Steve Albani of Nirvana. The Kickstarter project is currently looking for backing with a goal of $40000 that is to be reached by Monday, February 6, 2017.
