Electric Kia Soul May Be Released in 1-2 Years

Kia may be releasing an all electric version of its popular model the Soul within the next 1-2 years. As of now, though, there are no details, except an estimate of 2014 for when it hits the market.
Kia already sells an electric vehicle that greatly resembles the Soul in its home market of Korea — the Ray EV. The Ray EV possesses a “16.4 kWh battery pack and 50 kW electric motor provide up to 86 miles of range,” so it seems likely that the electric version of the Soul will have a similar drive system, but maybe with a larger battery pack.
