En voici quelques exemples….at link

English translation  (of a sort) from Google translate.

Months after its media-extravangaza announcement , the shocking study of  CRIIGEN on GM maize continues to suffer criticism highlighting the weaknesses of the work of Gilles-Eric Seralini. CRIIGEN and sponsors of the study were aware that this would happen. Accordingly, and this is natural, as officials CRIIGEN Gilles-Eric Seralini, Christian Vélot, Corinne Lepage and Joel Spiroux were prepared to leap to respond to criticism and launch attacks against.

But it was also, from their point of view, show that Séralini was not alone and enjoyed support in France and abroad. It was also necessary that other people or structures not directly related to occupy the land CRIIGEN media and internet buzz to offset the avalanche of criticism, and especially to give the impression that those who came to the rescue of the researcher Caen came from very different backgrounds. But when we look closer, we realized that most small guerrilla soldiers in the anti-GMO are in one way or another, related to the Foundation for the Progress of Humankind ( FPH), one of the main funders of the study Séralini.

Indeed, it is established that the FPH gave about 1 million euros CRIIGEN for this study. And that’s not counting what it paid for co-producing the documentary (and associated website) on the study Séralini and Co, called GMOs, to a global alert? , which was broadcast on France 5 on October 16. In addition, the Swiss foundation, run by the family Calame, supplies financial years several structures hostile to GMOs and all of which are invested in the case Séralini. Here are some examples.

Inf’OGM
Chaired by Jacques Testart early and now Jacquemart Frederick (Chairman of GIET, funded by the FPH, and Vice President of the Economic, Social and Ethical High Council of Biotechnologies ) Inf’OGM was created at the initiative of FPH in 1999. This association led by anti-GMO activists received since its inception about 500,000 euros of the FPH. In the midst of controversy over the study CRIIGEN, Inf’OGM published a brochure E xpertise of GMO assessment turns its back on science , in which the combination anti-GMO ‘took advantage of some peel records and compare the positions of experts when in position and when scientists are expert position to show their contradictions ” .

Citizen Science Foundation (FSC)
Chaired by Jacques Testart, the FSC also a Director of Christian Vélot CRIIGEN. The FSC has received since its inception in 2003 around 700,000 euros of the FPH. FSC officials have issued several forums related to the case Séralini, including issues related to whistleblowers and expertise. It has also been involved with other associations in the implementation of a petition demanding more transparency on the data evaluation. She also relayed the French translation of the text to support the study Séralini from the Network of European researchers committed to social and environmental responsibility (ENSSER), see below.

ENSSER
Chaired by Angelika Hilbeck , also a member of the scientific committee CRIIGEN, the Network of European researchers committed to social and environmental responsibility (ENSSER) also as vice president Christian Vélot. Recently created the ENSSER received 20,000 euros from the FPH in 2011, which represents more than half of its budget. The ENSSER circulated a letter of support for Gilles-Eric Seralini and an “analysis of the publication and the accompanying companion-cons” . This letter was signed by the coordinator of the ENSSER, Hartmut Meyer, also one of the leaders of the association Testbiotech (see below).

Testbiotech
Directed including Christoph Then, a former adviser to Greenpeace, and Hartmut Meyer, Testbiotech was founded in 2008 to criticize the assessment of GMOs as currently conducted. FPH appears on the site Testbiotech as one of its funders. In October 2012, Testbiotech published a report on standards used by EFSA to evaluate the study Séralini on GMOs, arguing that “the scientific protocols used in this study are higher than those of previous studies evaluated by EFSA ” .

Combat Monsanto
Created as a result of the film The World According to Monsanto by Marie-Monique Robin, the association Combat Monsanto (and its website) was created especially not the Citizen Science Foundation, Greenpeace, Sherpa and Friends of the Earth. For the launch of Combat Monsanto, FPH has awarded a grant of 170,000 euros. Combat Monsanto site relayed numerous articles in support Séralini. Benjamin Sourice, long time leader of Combat Monsanto and Sherpa (also funded by the FPH), has published several articles about the case on his blog Rue89 Séralini specialized “on whistleblowers, conflicts of interest of experts and research transparent ” . But here there is no evidence that it can conclude whether, this time, on duty for the FPH …
