In last 48 hours, there have been a number of earthquakes in Dodecanese Islands, Greece most of them WNW of Rodos Island. Below is the revised locations of earthquakes in Greece during the last 48 hours by Geodynamic Institute of the National Observatory of Athens.

Geodynamic Institute of the National Observatory of Athens has recorded more than 100 earthquakes (not more than 4.5) within 48 hours (as of 2012/11/25; 03:00 UTC). Following EMSC, more than 25 earthquakes have occurred in last 3 hours close to Rodos.
Latest strong earthquake in Greece was of magnitude 4.2 with epicenter 32 Km NW from Rodhos. The earthquake was followed with magnitude 4.1. Third light earthquake of magnitude 3.7 was followed after four minutes than second.

25 km (15 miles) WNW of Trianta, Greece
29 km (18 miles) WNW of Rodos, Greece
31 km (19 miles) SE of Datca, Turkey

Magnitude 4.2 quake in Dodecanese Islands, Greece occurred in the sea area which was felt particularly by the Rhodes island’s inhabitants.
Greece lies in a natural seismic laboratory that produces strong earthquakes at least once a year.
