(Before It's News)

November 16, 2012.  While at the Park Meadows mall last week  in Lone Tree, Colorado (near Denver),  I was impressed by the Tesla electric car. Instead of a conventional showroom, the automobile was displayed inside a mall store. There was one car on display, plenty of exhibits with information and a knowledgeable staff of two.

There was an exhibit which shows how much you save on operating costs by comparing electric rates in your areas with gasoline costs and the number of miles you drive.

The vehicle can accelerate form zero to sixty miles per hour in 5.6 seconds, and get up to 300 miles on a charge, depending on the batteries chosen.

This automobile, the Model S,  is very attractive and luxurious. It is competitive with conventional luxury cards as the price is between $50,000 and $80,000.   The desired range per charge has a major impact on the purchase price, as batteries are a major component.

I did not know much about the automobile, but was pleasantly surprised when I discovered Tesla at the mall.
