Fair use Notice:
What horrors will YOU likely face after a cave-in of YOUR nation’s economy, war, geophysical upheaval, or whatever crisis is bad enough to disturb or stop YOUR nation from working and functioning? There are plenty of very potential SHTF events that are simply awaiting a catalyst to trigger them…- SHTF Plan – When It Hits The Fan, Don’t Say I Didn’t Warn You…

This may be old news, but I am, pardon the expression, sick and tired, of the expression “if you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to worry about…” etc. etc.

Volcano activity of November 26, 2012
Last update: November 26, 2012 at 3:56 pm by By Richard Wilson and Armand Vervaeck

This (almost) daily post intends to follow up the activity changes of volcanoes all over the world.
This post is written by geologist Richard Wilson who specializes in Volcano seismicity and Armand Vervaeck. Please feel free to tell us about new or changed activity if we haven’t written about it. -
November 26, 2012 volcano activity
Mostly changes in volcano-seismicity levels (or, in the case of Masaya volcano, no change) to report today.
Seismicity at Little Sitkin volcano (Aleutians) is up again today. (station LSSA) Yesterday I mentioned tiny, probably(?) ice quakes occurring on Mount Spurr volcano. Today, what appear to be low-frequency earthquakes (which can also be generated by ice movement) dot the Mount Spurr seismogram. (station CKT) To the south, an interesting sequence of shallow, larger (M2-M3) earthquakes has been taking place (since 15 November) near the Four-peaked-Mount Douglas volcano cluster. Thus some areas to keep an eye on up north.
A small pulse of seismicity occurred beneath the South Moat of Long Valley caldera (CA) overnight. (station MMX1)
Low-level volcanic tremor and small earthquakes rattle Popocatepetl volcano (Mexico). The volcano has been emitting bursts of gas and ash at an average rate of one per hour over the past 24 hours.
The INSIVUMEH webpage is currently under construction, so seismograms for the Guatemalan volcanoesremain unavailable.
Volcano-seismicity at San Cristobal volcano (Nicaragua) (station CRIN) still toggles between volcanic earthquakes and tremor. Nearby Masaya volcano (station MASN) continues to rumble with volcanic tremor.
Colombian volcano seismograms are also unavailable at this time.
Volcano-seismicity at Reventador volcano (Ecuador) briefly fell a lower level than we have seen the past few weeks. (station CONE)
Seismicity has fallen-off dramatically at Tongariro volcano (New Zealand) with only a few small earthquakes visible on seismograms there. GNS scientists report finding small amounts of fresh volcanic glass in the ash by the volcano erupted last Wednesday, so stay tuned! Tremor is visible on records from Ruapehu volcano, and very visible on those recorded at White Island volcano.
Recent satellite imagery shows relatively diffuse SO2-enriched plumes drifting from Popocatepetl volcano,Manam volcano (New Guinea) and a possible small plume drifting from Copahue volcano (Chile-Argentina border, last erupted in 2000).
