• M4.8 moderate earthquake near  the Coast of Nicaragua (@ 91 km depth) with epicenter located 30 km WSW of Jiquilillo. People of El Viejo, Corinto,  Chinandega and Managua will have felt just a weak shaking of MMI III.

• M 4.7 moderate earthquake in Libertador O’higgins, Chile (@ 45 km depth)with epicenter located 31 km SW of Santa Cruz. People of Curico, Molina, Chimbarongo, Machalí, Santiago, Talca and Mendoza (Argentina).

Recent Flash Floods
Ongoing Major River Floods (Based on Satellite observation): Afghanistan (Amu Darya), Australia (Darling), Bolivia (Madre de Dios), Brazil (Tocantins), Chad (N Djamena), China (Mekong and Huang He), Democratic Republic of the Congo (Ubangi), Dominican Republic, Honduras, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq (Shatt al Arab and Tigris), Kenya (Tana), Philippines, Sudan (Blue Nile, White Nile), Syria (Euphrates), Tanzania.

• Flooding in central and northern Singapore
  -Following The national water agency PUB, flash floods hit Ang Mo Kio and Gambas Avenue today morning (Wednesday).
  -Flooding also occured in Gambas Avenue,  Thompson Walk and Mayflower Avenue of Singapore.

Erupting Volcanoes: Fuego, Santiago, Poas, Reventador, Nyiragongo, Ol Doniyo Lengai, Raung, Erta Ale, Paluweh, Gamalama, Batu Tara, Sakurajima, Manam, Ulawun, Tolbachik and Kilauea volcano.

Recent Tropical Cyclones

• Tropical Cyclone Dumile
  -As of 12:00 UTC, TC Dumile was located 370 nm north of La Reunion.
  -Tropical storm Dumile is forecast to strike Reunion as a tropical cyclone on 3 January.
• Tropical Cyclone Freda
  -As of 12:00 UTC, TC Freda was located 225 nm northwest of Noumea, New Caledonia.
  -Tropical cyclone Freda is forecast to strike New Caledonia as a tropical storm on 3 January.

  -Around 30 houses evacuated due to sink hole in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
  -Emergency center is set up by American Red Cross at Pine Street Presbyterian Church, 234 South St. Harrisburg, PA.
