Recent Earthquakes

  • M 5.5 moderate earthquake near the East Coast of Honshu, Japan (@ 29 km depth) with epicenter located 9 km E of Hasaki. Moderate shaking of MMI V will have felt by the people of Hasaki, Asahi and Omigawa. People of Itako, Kashima-shi, Yokaichiba and Mito-shi will have felt light shaking of MMI IV. Weak shaking will have felt by the people of Chiba-shi, Yokohama-shi, Utsunomiya-shi and Tokyo.
