(Before It's News)

Apr 12, 2013 -  More Russians are using more natural gas to power their automobiles than they are using hybrid vehicles like the Prius.  Natural gas in Russia is not only plentiful, but it is cheap.  And they can purchase do-it-yourself conversion kits.   I have seen natural gas powered buses and trucks in the US, but definitely haven’t noticed automobiles powered by natural gas.  I do remember seeing them in old WWII movies that showed cars with a natural gas tank mounted on the roof of the car.  Hopefully, 21st century models are less obvious.  Of course, you also need a source of natural gas if you are going to drive away from your driveway. Please leave  your comments and pictures of natural gas powered vehicles and sources of natural  gas here.
