Dr. Paul Fraser of the Australian Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) explains how he and his team monitor atmospheric CO2 concentrations globally. Beginning in 1974, CSIRO was one of the first non-American organization to measure CO2 in the atmosphere.
Dr. Fraser explains how scientists isolate isotopes in carbon to determine its source, whether from the natural biosphere or from human emissions of fossil fuels.
