Car2Go’s New Regional Access Plan Means Traveling Within The US & Canada Just Got A Lot Easier For Members

If you’re a member of one of the thirteen North American Car2go services spread out across the continent, well then, listen up, cause I’ve got some great news for you. You’ll soon be able to use your membership in any one of the North American cities with a program, not just in US cities, as was previously the case.

With the new “Regional Access Plan,” members will now have access to cars in a great number of different North American cities. Anywhere from Austin, to Toronto, to San Diego, to Calgary, to Vancouver, etc.

Thankfully, those that are excited by the change won’t have to wait long to make use of it — the Regional Access plan starts just a couple of weeks from now, on May 5.

Of course, opening up more cars to the current membership by definition increases the amount of possible Car2go trips, so it makes a lot of sense for Car2go to offer this upgrade for free. Sadly, European cities are not included in this change, but we hope that happens in the near future.

As we prepare to expand into more innovative mobility options, all members will be required to accept the new Terms and Conditions and Trip Processes, which will go into effect on May 5th, 2014, more details on the changes can be found in the document here. This change will also reflect the introduction of car2go’s moovel, a one-stop shop mobility platform that will allow our members to be able to access all mobility services at their fingertips.
