The flood insurance claims filed by every Superstorm Sandy victims will be reopened and reviewed by Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
The flood insurance claims review will involve approximately 144,000 claims and not limit corrective action to 2,200 that are currently in litigation, AP reported.

The step was taken following allegations of fraud involving the way some insurance companies assessed flood damage. However, Insurers have denied any wrongdoing.
FEMA will send letter about the new review process to those who have filed flood insurance claims.
Hurricane Sandy was the most destructive hurricane of the 2012 Atlantic hurricane season, as well as the second-costliest hurricane in United States history. More than 200 people died by Sandy along the path of the storm in eight countries.
