France looks abroad to find blame for smog. After France recorded more spikes in air pollution in recent months, the minister of ecology has turned her sights on France’s neighbours, suggesting that they may be contributing to the dirty air that settles some cities, notably Paris.

 

A city goes renewable, but raises questions about impact of biomass power. Burlington, Vermont, is now powered entirely on renewable technology, but critics point to wood-burning plant.
