Fukui Court Forbids Takahama Nuclear Plant Restart. It marks the first time in Japan’s nearly half-century of commercial atomic power operations that a court has approved a provisional injunction against firing up reactors.

 

‘Very dangerous’ radioactive material stolen in Mexico. Civil and law enforcement agencies in southern Mexico were put on alert Thursday after radioactive material was stolen from a vehicle – probably by thieves who didn’t know what they were taking, investigators said.

 

Boxer continues to throw punches at NRC as her retirement looms. Sen. Barbara Boxer may not wield the Environment and Public Works Committee’s gavel any longer, but she’s using her position as top Democrat to rail against nuclear regulators.
