Idaho landslide traps 250 people in Elk City

About 250 people have been trapped in a massive landslide in the small remote town of Elk City in Idaho County of United States.
The landslide is about 40 feet deep and is blocking approximately 500 feet of the highway, Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) said in a press release.

Transportation crews have been working to open Forest Road 1199 for emergency use.
