Magnitude 4.8 moderate earthquake rattled Central California at 03:04 pm Tuesday afternoon, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported.
According to USGS, the epicenter was located 10 km WNW of Big Pine and was located a shallow depth of 9.8 miles.
Light shaking of MMI IV will have been felt by the people of Big Pine, Bishop, West Bishop and Dixon Lane-Meadow Creek. Similarly, people of Mammoth Lakes, Lone Pine, Sanger, Reedley, Dinuba, Parlier and Selma.
No damage or injuries have been reported.
