Nepal's National Seismological Center (NSC) has recorded at least four earthquake of magnitude ranging from 3.6 to 5.0 in span of less than an hour on Wednesday afternoon, June 29, 2016.
The strongest earthquake was of magnitude 5.0 at 2:55 pm local time. It was followed by magnitude 4.2 quake after seventeen minutes. Similarly, magnitude 3.8 light tremor was recorded at 3:28 pm. The latest tremor was recorded at 3:29 pm with magnitude 3.6.
All of the earthquakes had their epicenters around Seti Bishal Jharana of Dhamena VDC.
People rushed out of their homes and offices in panic. No preliminary damage or injures have been reported.
According to NSC, these are fresh earthquakes not
aftershocks of 2015 Gorkha earthquake. A massive earthquake of magnitude 7.9 on April 25 and following aftershocks killed more than 8,000 people last year.
