Mayhem at the French port has continued for a second day, leading to the deployment of extra riot police to control both migrants and the wildcat strikers who shut down cross-Channel services yesterday.
The gridlock outside Calais meant that migrants were able to try and break into lorries for a second day – and frustrated drivers claim that many of them ‘have got knives and they’re not afraid to use them’.
Eurostar trains and ferries started running again this morning but are ‘very, very, very full’ as companies tries to clear the backlog of passengers whose journeys were cancelled.
2. Machete killer ‘became obsessed with ISIS beheading videos’ just weeks before killing great-grandmother, 82, during 45-minute rampage through north London street
(Once again we see the push from the leftist-Islamic alliance to ban evidence of what muslims do when practicing orthodox islam in order to protect the reputation of a doctrine which is fully disreputable. In 2011 the population of the UK was over 63 million people. If a couple of them are affected by Islamic State Propaganda and do bad things, it is a tiny tin fraction of the number of people who, upon becoming aware of how islam behaves given the chance to act on its dogma, would become disgusted with it and support measures to ensure it cannot gain influence at home. This, one must suspect, is why the media is anxious to trumpet the extremely rare case of someone imitating these videos)
Killer Nicholas Salvador became obsessed with watching Islamic State beheading videos before he decapitated an 82-year-old great-grandmother in a violent 45-minute rampage, it has been claimed.
Friends say the paranoid schizophrenic, who at one time converted to Islam, became increasingly preoccupied with the sickening videos in the run-up to the brutal killing of Italian café owner Palmira Silva.
One source said the 25-year-old – who came within yards of two children as he stormed through a suburban street in Edmonton, north London in September last year – had undergone a sinister transformation after researching Jihadi messages and conspiracy theories online.
They told The Sun: ‘He was looking at the videos of beheadings for weeks. He became obsessed with them.’
At least 18 people are dead after ethnic Uighurs attacked police with knives and bombs at a traffic checkpoint in China’s western Xinjiang region, Radio Free Asia reported on Wednesday.
The attack occurred on Monday in a district of the southern city of Kashgar, where tensions between Muslim Uighurs that call the region home and the majority Han Chinese have led to bloodshed in recent years.
Suspects killed several police officers with knives and bombs after speeding through a traffic checkpoint in a car in Kashgar’s Tahtakoruk district, U.S.-based Radio Free Asia said, citing Turghun Memet, an officer at a nearby police station.
Armed police responded to the attack and killed 15 suspects “designated as terrorists,” Radio Free Asia cited Memet as saying.
(One wonders if the Chinese might do a little more than that)
4. This one should make any thinking person quite angry.
CNN attempts to redirect any anger that exists against the Islamic State for its genocides, destruction of irreplaceable historical artifacts, institutional racism, torture and imposition of the most illiberal legal codes human beings can fathom, not to mention the renormalization of slavery and total destruction of basic rights of non muslim, especially woman, and direct that anger at American ‘white supremacist groups’ who as far as anyone can tell, do nothing whatsoever. Even the Roof psycho who murdered a number of seemingly wonderful people at a Church in South Carolina was not connected to any group anyone has been able to expose and even if he had, the scale would be absurdly off balance to islamic slaughter.
5. Al-Azhar condemns Dutch parliamentarian’s attempted publishing of anti-Islam video
Egypt-based major Islamic Sunni institution Al-Azhar has strongly denounced on Sunday endeavours by the Dutch parliamentarian Geert Wilders to publish a cartoon that allegedly offends Islam.
Long known for his campaigns against Muslims around the world, including banning the Holy Quran in 2007, Wilders called for the publishing of a cartoon video of the Prophet Muhammad.
Referring to the attempted publishing, Al-Azhar said in an official statement on Sunday: “This is a clear provoking act towards Muslims and goes against the western beliefs of respecting other cultures and views.”
(Maybe Al Azhar, but it is in keeping with the Islamic beliefs of not tolerating things you disagree with so you should be proud of your influence there)
6. Geert Wilders’ office informs us that the Dutch state broadcaster did indeed show Geert’s video and the cartoons of mohamed on state TV today as promised.
The video of what was shown is below.
;
From Geert’s official press release:
Today, a selection of Muhammad cartoons were shown on Dutch public television.
The cartoons were originally shown at an exhibition of Muhammad cartoons in Garland, Texas, last May, where PVV leader Geert Wilders gave a speech, and which was attacked by terrorists.
Geert Wilders: “The only way to show terrorists that they are not going to win is to do exactly what they do not want us to do. I do not broadcast the cartoons to provoke; I do it because we have to show that we stand for freedom of speech and that we will never surrender to violence.
Freedom of speech must always prevail over violence and terror.”
7. When it comes to guns, perception trumps reality. Again.
8. Hungary reverses its decision of yesterday to ignore EU regulations on illegal migrants
Thank you Buck, M., Maria J., Geert W., Wrath of Khan, Richard, Carpe Diem and all. More to come shortly including an in depth look at the person who ran over and stabbed people in Austria the other day.
