(Someone mumbles something about ‘radicalized’)

2. The United States appears to have a weapon that can get in and MOP up facilities buried deep in fortified bunkers. But do they have the will to use it?

3. Islamic State kills at least 145 civilians in Syria’s Kobani

By Sylvia Westall and Tom Perry

BEIRUT (Reuters) – Islamic State fighters killed at least 145 civilians in an attack on the Syrian town of Kobani and a nearby village, in what a monitoring group described on Friday as one of the worst massacres carried out by the hardline group in Syria.

Islamic State pressed a separate assault to capture government-held parts of the northeastern city of Hasaka, blowing up a security building and triggering a government appeal for all residents to take up arms. The United Nations said 60,000 people were reported to have fled the attack.

Islamic State’s twin attacks which began on Thursday showed the group returning to the offensive in Syria after two weeks of defeats at the hands of Kurdish-led forces, supported by U.S.-led air strikes. Earlier this week the Kurds advanced to within 50 km (30 miles) of Raqqa city, the group’s de facto capital.

4. The sex slaves of slaughter city: Girls as young as nine forced to have sex with ISIS jihadis who treat them as a sick reward for savagery

His battered and bloodstained body hung for three days on the cross on which he was crucified.

Around his neck, the Islamic State butchers who killed him had hung a handwritten placard accusing him of apostasy — abandoning his religion.

He was just 17 and the placard explained that the unnamed boy’s crime had been to take photographs of the terrorist organisation’s headquarters in the Syrian city of Raqqa, which has become the de facto IS capital.

Images of his body were smuggled to the West in defiance of the city’s terrifying religious police by undercover activists appalled at the daily brutality taking place in their city.

Had they been caught, they too would have been killed; either crucified in Raqqa’s central square like this poor teenager or beheaded before a mob.

Life in Raqqa once revolved around cotton farming. Muslims and Christians once lived together here and the sexes mixed freely. Now it is in the hands of the barbarous jihadi group, Islamic State

 5. Tommy Robinson just tweeted that Britain First was just banned from carrying signs that say: “No more mosques”. As yet there is no link to that, but if true, this is a giant leap into the Orwellian near-future of the UK and Europe

6. Police were warned yesterday not to wear their uniforms in public when they are off duty, amid fresh fears of a Lee Rigby-style attack in Britain.

7. Greece announces shock referendum on eurozone future throwing banking system into turmoil

Greece’s prime minister has announced a snap referendum in a last-ditch attempt to get the country’s European creditors to back down on their demands to secure its eurozone future.

Alexis Tsipras called the surprise vote, to be held on on July 5, having spent Friday night holed up in an emergency meeting with his cabinet.

The question to be put before voters is whether or not the country is willing to submit to the conditions being demanded by the International Monetary Fund, European Union and European Central Bank.

8. Pierre Rehov’s new film, ‘War Crimes in Gaza’ is about to premiere. Below is a trailer
