A prominent British politician was shot and stabbed after she had conducted meetings with members of her constituency. Labour party MP Jo Cox was shot three times and stabbed at a library in the town of Birstall. The attack happened on the afternoon of June 16. Cox later died of her injuries. She was 41 years old.
Shortly afterwards, Tommy Mair, 52, was arrested by armed police. Cox’s Labour party colleague Maria Eagle tweeted that the attacker shouted “Britain First” before shooting. A possible reference to a far-right political party dedicated to getting the United Kingdom to withdraw from the European Union.
Cox was the member of parliament for Batley and Spen since 2015. She was also a campaigner Remain campaign in the upcoming referendum in the United Kingdom surrounding membership of the European Union.

Information paints this individual as the village idiot. The popular trend was showing strong support to exit the EU, why would nationalists sabotage their own momentum
Like to know more about Tommy Mair….his therapist if he had one?……medication if he had any ?….computer activities if recorded on library system.?….the little that is known the man was unstable……possibly vulnerable to suggestion?
At the risk of being slammed for this comment, I am finding it very difficult to believe that Mr. Mair is responsible for the assassination of Jo Cox MP. Something is just not right here and people are rushing to judgement.

Who would want Britain first put in the frame as they have no connections to the Leave Campaign?
Why is the politically charged word ‘hate’ being used at such an early stage in the various comments and tributes to Jo Cox?
Why was the tweet that drew attention to the alleged shout of ‘Britain First’ deleted almost immediately after it was tweeted?
Why did the Eurocrat send his politically biased message of condolence so early in the day?
Why did the BBC in their 10pm News broadcast exclusively lead with this man Clarke Rothwell as one who definitely heard Britain First?
Even before the BBC, why was Channel 4 News and Sky News itching to report the alleged ‘Britain First’ comment?
Why did Hillary Clinton call this assassination “a violent act of political intolerance” Where did Hillary Clinton get her information from?
It would be fair to investigate the possibility of malice aforethought being played out before our eyes by the establishment, but one thing we can be sure of; there may even be an Islamic hand at work. What we must all ensure that the ‘spin’ and subliminal messages being sent out over the airwaves and in the media does not interfere with the message of Leave Campaign, as clearly and ultimately, this is what it is intended or even perhaps designed to do.
Let’s not condemn this man until we know what the real agenda is, as this man seems incapable of commiting such an horrific and heinous crime.
American here… All I can say is I thought the American political forum was far worse than in the England, we all have this view I suppose that the English are “reserved”, but its not much different at all is it? I have read a few things reported by your Press on the internet and its as bad as trying to get honest information from the American Press. Actually this article here seemed the most credible of them all, even if it is just general information.
Anyway… I don’t know what you are going to do with Brexit, but as an American, I can honestly say I do not understand how anyone in Britain would want to continue to lose more and more of their national sovereignty, their local economy, their history and culture and their streets to this EU arraignment that has done damage to all those things and flooded your streets with muslims, who a number of times a day, literally commandeer your streets, bend over and stick their asses in your face? I am sure the Remain campaign tells everyone that its not like that at all, that your Nation is actually better off in the Union, and if you do not want to change your culture and the flavor of your society to accommodate hundreds of thousands of people from a completely different civilization whose goal over centuries is to take over you land and claim it for Islam, then you’re a racist, even though Islam is not a race, but what does the truth matter in politics anyway.
Well, I am sure this ‘issue” will reach the same climax in the United State in the years to come if you all remain in the EU and sets the stage for the flood of muslims to overflow into America, which it will for sure, because the American Democrat party politicians will sell the nations soul for another large voting block they can control. And they are masters at propagandizing the masses through the education system and media until they get enough useful idiots to follow them like sheep.
