Ben’s of Manhattan Hosts Annual Fundraiser in Honor of Former Employee Tarek Shbaan
Ben’s Delicatessen Restaurant & Caterers will host its annual Tarek Shbaan Memorial Fundraiser on October 14th at its Manhattan restaurant, located at 209 West 38th Street (west of 7th Avenue). During that day, 10% of all sales will go to benefit a college savings account for Mr. Shbaan’s two daughters.
Each year, the event is held on October 14 to commemorate the birthday of Mr. Shbaan, who was the counter manager at Ben’s in Manhattan. He passed away on November 30, 2010.
“We wish to honor Tarek’s memory by raising money to make sure his daughters have the opportunity to attend college,” says Ronnie Dragoon, Founder-Owner of Ben’s. “He was a very dedicated employee, a dear friend, and a loving person to his family. We miss him terribly.”
Customers are also welcomed to donate at any time at Ben’s of Manhattan. Donations can be made in cash, by check, or by credit card. Checks should be made payable to Vanguard Group 529, College Savings Plan. Please note that these donations are not tax-deductible.
