In today's 24/7 interconnected world, more of us are going online in both our professional and personal capacities. While some try to keep “multiple identities,” distinguishing between personal and professional, there is increasingly a blurring of roles and responsibilities, especially as technology does not distinguish between our professional identity and our personal activities online. This panel explores how this blurring of personal and professional is affecting legal and policy norms in areas such as employer-employee relations, client management, reputation management and prevention loss programs. It will address issues arising out of social networking and geolocation services to business and personal lives, data mining threats and security concerns.
