In the escalating battle over online censorship, the Feds are demanding the Mozilla remove a plug-in redirects domains, that have been unconstitutionally seized with no due process, to overseas servers outside the reach of the United States. Mozilla has in turn given the Feds the middle finger and instead demand that the Feds explain under what authority do they demand the add-on be removed.

As western governments around the world follow in China’s footsteps in implementing draconian censorship, under a false the banner of protecting personal freedoms and promoting free speech, an escalating battle in the war over freedom of information is unfolding. At center stage of the conflict both sides are mounting resources to focus on what looks to become the new front-line in the war against government censorship, the battle over the right of people to access blacklisted content from alternate sources once a fascist government seizes the original source.
As previously noted, the United States government suffered widespread rebuke from the public when the United States Senate introduced COICA, the “Combating Online Infringement and Counterfeits Act”. which would censor the internet in the US. The bill which if enacted into law would empower the U.S. Department of Justice to shut down, or block access to, websites found to be dedicated to infringing activities. The legislation undoubtedly moves the United States to a complete information control system which restricts access to all information beside government propaganda.
