What’s killing Tasmanian devils? Scientists have been trying to figure out the cause of the deadly cancer affecting so many Tasmanian devils and some suspect pesticides and poisons.

 

Scientists study stormwater, deadly to salmon. Just hours into the experiment, the prognosis was grim for salmon that had been exposed to the everyday toxic brew of dirt, metals, oil and other gunk that washes off highway pavement after rains, and directly into Puget Sound.
