Jim Rogers: I would put my entire net worth in Myanmar
I need a vacation. Last winter I was planning to go to Ghana with a friend. It would have been fun and possibly rewarding from a business standpoint. There’s a lot of upside in these emerging economics. Too bad I didn’t get to go.
Just the other day I watched this video and Jim Rogers said he would put everything he had in Myanmar:
I’m sold. A round trip ticket to Yangon is less than $2,000. I think it would be awesome to go for at least a month.
There are lots of macro investment themes going on in my head right now. We are short a Puerto Rican bank and we expect the fiscal situation and economy to get much worse. We are studying Iran because we think the probability of a revolution there is increasing by the day. The currency has a lot of upside over the long run.
Now I am seriously considering going to Myanmar. Sounds like an awesome place to go to escape the northeast.
