Ascend Collection Now in Baltimore – Analyst Blog
Choice Hotels International Inc.’s (CHH) boutique style brand (luxury, design-led and contemporary facilities), Ascend Hotel Collection, recently added 3 new hotels in the U.S. to its growing pool of independently owned and operated high-quality assets. With these inclusions, Choice Hotel’s Ascend Hotel Collection brand has debuted in Baltimore, Md.
The 3 boutique hotels — Inn at Henderson's Wharf, Pier 5 and Admiral Fell Inn— are positioned in Inner Harbor and the historic Fells Point, Baltimore. Meyer Jabara Hotels is the owner and manager of these properties. Choice Hotel has chosen these properties due to their attractive location and historical background.
Introduced in Jan 2008, Choice Hotel’s Ascend Collection comprises high-end, historic and boutique hotels. Nearly 80 unique properties are currently under the Ascend Collection spread across the U.S., Canada, the Caribbean, Europeand Central America.
Ascend Hotel Collection boasts prestigious hotels such as The GEM Hotels in New York, Postcard Inn in St. Pete Beach, Fla.; Grand Hotel Costa Rica in San Jose;St. James Hotel, New Orleans;and Hotel Royal William in New St. Rock, Quebec City.
Recently, the Ascend Hotel Collection made an entry into Sedona, Ariz.; Napa Valley and Carmel, Calif., with the inclusion of Napa Winery Inn, Carmel Mission Inn and Arroyo Pinion Hotel in its portfolio. As a part of the Choice Hotel group, these properties get to reap the benefits of its much greater scale, its industry leading reservations and marketing system, as well as the rewards from their loyalty program.
Several other hoteliers including Wyndham Worldwide Corporation (WYN) and Marriott International, Inc. (MAR) also have a strong presence in the U.S.
