A couple weeks back, when I went over to Brand Library to check out the current Nexus group show, curated by Thinkspace Gallery, I also admired the concurrent solo exhibition on display by Mexican City-based artist Edgar Flores a/k/a SANER. Entitled In a Dream (En un Sueño), the exhibition includes onsite installation work, framed original art, and some sculptural work too. Saner’s current work is heavily influenced by Mexican, Mayan, and Aztec iconography and folklore, which is right up my alley. It’s thoroughly impressive and well worth a visit.
