Do your kids love being creative? Mine sure do! They love being able to draw, paint, mold, or sculpt any chance they get. I am a huge fan of creative play, as studies have shown that creative minds often find success in academic areas as well. 

One of Sophie and Xander’s favorite ways to express their creativity is through playing with Play-Doh. I mean, come on! What kid doesn’t LOVE Play-Doh?! This is a classic childhood favorite, and definitely much loved in our home. 

Recently, the awesome folks at Hasbro sent us a couple of fun-filled Play-Doh play sets featuring some of our favorite characters: My Little Pony’s Rainbow Dash and of course, the lovable Minions from Despicable Me.

Once your minions have a full head of hair, you can cut and style using the special Play-Doh scissors included in the set.

My daughter, Sophie, adores anything My Litty Pony related. And of course, she also loves Play-Doh. Naturally, the Play-Doh Rainbow Dash Style Salon was right up this gal’s alley. She really loved being able to “grow” a majestic mane of brightly colored hair. This set also comes with scissors for styling. 

Once Rainbow Dash had her new ‘do, Sophie had fun adding colorful Play-Doh decorations to the body of the pony. With this toy, the possibilities are endless. This is a must-have for any budding stylists or fashionistas out there! 

Overall, we’re definitely loving these awesome Play-Doh sets from Hasbro. They are super creative, and really allow kids to use their imaginations. They are also very durable and easy to clean after use. (I just take a wet rag and wipe them down, making sure to get any stuck-on Play-Doh out of any cracks or crevices.) This is a wonderful way to spend a rainy summer’s day!
