Anyone who knows me is well aware of the fact that I suffer from absolutely horrible allergies. I am allergic to SO many different things, such as dust and mold, pollen, grass, and almost every kind of furry animal. I sneeze and wheeze all year long, unfortunately. I wish I could say that in 34 years I have gotten used to it, but how does one truly ever get used to feeling perpetually miserable? 

While my allergies are terrible, I also love my pets. We have a zoo going on here, with both cats and dogs living among us. We adore our fur-babies, but I’d be lying if I said that their fur and dander didn’t cause me some pain. I deal with it because my animals are worth it to me. 

Since we are in a multi-pet household, I am always looking for ways to improve our indoor air quality. I hate the way pets can smell, and I also don’t like allergens floating around constantly invading my sinuses. There HAS to be a way for everyone to coexist peacefully. The Venta LW45 Airwasher is so simple to use. Seriously, my 5 year old helps fill it with water everyday. It’s foolproof! It is ready to use, straight out of the box. Simply put the 3 pieces together, add water, plug it in, and push a button. Voila! You, my friend, have just created an allergy-free zone. 

The best part? Maintenance is incredibly simple. Just add water daily. Think of it like watering your houseplants. Much like those ferns and ornamental grasses, your Venta Airwasher needs to be watered to thrive. No worries, there’s no need to empty anything. Just add water. 

However, it is recommended that you empty and clean your unit every 2 weeks. This is easy, too. Just rinse out the unit, add the included Water Treatment Additive, and fill it back up. There are no filters to mess with at all. NO FILTERS, PEOPLE! Can I get a collective “Hooray!”? 

Should your Venta Airwasher need a more thorough cleaning, this is easy, too. You can wipe it down with some ordinary white vinegar, or you can pop these pieces into the dishwasher. We have been using the Venta LW45 for about a month now, and I have to say, I am very impressed. There have been many noticeable differences we’ve experienced since we started washing our air. 

First, my allergies have greatly, greatly improved. I don’t wake up and spend the first hour or so of my day sneezing, wheezing, and hacking. This is SUCH a difference, and my personal quality of life has greatly improved.
