Kazakhstan May Run Out of Uranium in 60 Years

Kazakhstan has uranium reserves enough for 60-70 years at the maximum production level and 80-90 years at the current production without replenishment, Primeminister.kz reports citing Director General of Kazenergy Association Asset Magauov.

He noted that Kazakhstan was suffering from low pace of replenishment of the mineral resources base, whereas establishment of the full nuclear fuel production cycle could increases the energy potential of the uranium reserves.
