Photographer Irina Werning says on her website:
"I love old photos. I admit being a nosey photographer. As soon as I step into someone else’s house, I start sniffing for them. Most of us are fascinated by their retro look but to me, it’s imagining how people would feel and look like if they were to reenact them today… A few months ago, I decided to actually do this. So, with my camera, I started inviting people to go back to their future."
The result is a collection of childhood photos recreated by the now-adults. The cool part is how painstakingly every single detail has been recreated perfectly: the clothes, the hair, the eye glasses, the toys, the locations and even the aged look of the photo.
Would it be surprising at all if this extremely clever and thoughtful art project spawned a worldwide craze? If you become inspired to recreate your favorite childhood photo, we hope you'll share it with Before It's News.
