  • Isn’t it wonderful to see a liberal practicing the compassion and acceptance of diversity they all claim to have. It is certainly refreshing to see something from the left which doesn’t contain any smugness or conveyance of a sense of moral and educational superiority. Thank you for letting us see how a liberal truly thinks.

    • Well… not only am I a Liberal, and proud of it, I am also a Socialist, oooh…and an Atheist – ye gads man. You know, it’s pretty easy to convey “a sense of moral and educational superiority” when one is dealing with the likes of Michelle Bachmann, Sarah Palin, Ken Cuccinelli et all. Sharron Angle said on May 14th “People ask me, ‘What are you going to do to develop jobs in your state?’ Well, that’s not my job as a U.S. senator.” Really??? In an ABC News interview, September 11, 2008, Sarah Palin was asked if “America may need to go to war with Russia because of the Georgia crisis.” Her answer: “Perhaps so.” Oh??? Here’s Rep.Paul Ryan on March 12, 2013: ”We’re not going to give up on destroying the health care system for the American people.” Amazing eh? And let us not forget the intelligence of Delaware GOP Senate nominee Christine O’Donnell, in a 1998 op ed who wrote ”God may choose to heal someone from cancer, yet that person still has a great deal of medical bills. The outstanding bills do not determine whether or not the patient has been healed by God.’ interesting logic eh? Here’s one of the tea party’s darlings Rand Paul:
”The fundamental reason why Medicare is failing is why the Soviet Union failed — socialism doesn’t work.” As if Socialism and Communism are the same thing. But why let a little thing like facts – or knowledge – intrude huh?
And more to the point of my piece; if you care to see how the tea party folk actually do spell the moronic claptrap they spout, click on: http://politicalhumor.about.com/library/bl-tea-party-signs.htm?x=325&y=90&PS=194%3A1
      keep smiling man.

      • What a piece of work you are! I thought libs accepted diversity.
Socialism and communism CAN be put in the same category: Liberty destroyers.
Why do you lump ALL tea party supporters in some moronic category? I’m pretty sure some idiot liberal goose-stepper such as yourself faked the application to give the impression that EVERY tea party supporter is stupid.
I smell fear and desperation in your comments because everybody knows you guys are on a downhill slide. Stop being a useful idiot for the democrats. Wake up and realize that we have a fake left/right political paradigm in this country, a one-party system and it doesn’t matter what so-called side steers the ship, the ship still travels in the same direction.

  • to mr. iamamerican, Liberals certainly accept diversity. What we won’t stand for are lies, deceit (like telling us that Iraq had “weapons of mass detruction” and taking us into a lie-based war that destroyed lives and our economy. Did you think we should have invaded Iraq? What you are is an uneducated dupe of the Koch Brothers and every other wealthy oligarch string-puller in this country. Ever ask yourself why the Republican party is so busy trying to take away people’s right to vote? naah…i didn’t think so. But a “patriot” such as yourself should be angered at this kind of repression…so are you? And, for your information, socialism generally refers to an ECONOMIC SYSTEM, like bailing out AIG and General Motors – you know Socialism for the rich – while communism generally refers to both an economic system and a POLITICAL SYSTEM. Without Socialist methods/programs already in place here you’d be without police, firemen, post office, trash collections, bridges, roads, social security, public parks, the FDA…why don’t you take a look at: http://bigcorporationusa.blogspot.com/2011/07/we-people-75-ways-socialism-has.html Go on…be brave…let a few “facts” into your bubble. Oh – that there’s an intreresting handle “iamamerican” – are you familiar with the famous quote by Samuel Johnson “Patriotism is the last refuge of the scoundrel”? Huh? I didn’t think so.
