Miniature Arsenal: High End Fully Functional Models for the Gun Connoisseur

As a young boy, Dimitry Streshinsky was inspired by the beauty and detail of firearms. The moment came during his visit to the Museum of Artillery in Russia with his Grandfather. It launched a young boy’s appreciation for the aesthetic beauty of firearm craftsmanship. As a result, Dimitry grew up as an avid antique weapons and armor collector. His passion eventually lead him to help reestablish a European tradition of crafting high end miniature firearm replicas in extraordinary detail. Since the 15th century, the craftsmanship of miniature firearm models was as highly regarded as the clock maker. Rulers and royalty alike gave small arms to other officials or family members as a sign of respect or for the general appreciation into the artistic craftsmanship of firearms. These are fully functional and not just replicas. Each gun is a miniature operating version of the original that only lacks the proportionate scaled down ammunition to fire.

Dimitry's one of a kind gold inlayed Caracal F pistol displayed at the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX).

In 2005, Dimitry founded Miniature Arsenal and now offers a complete line of firearms to choose from. To Dimitry these guns are a “piece of art” and he takes his craft seriously. They are rare, handmade, and command attention to detail. Each miniature is designed to 1:2 or 1:3 scale. Only about 300 miniatures are produced at a time. In most cases, the models take about 47 days to complete and can run up to $55,000 depending on model and features. Miniature Arsenal has produced small arms for many well known brands, including Browning, Bernadelli, Perrazzi, and of course, the Kalashnikov AK-47. A number of  historic military arms are also produced such as the Mosin-Nagant, M1903 Springfield, Colt M1911, Borchadt-Luger Pistol, and Colt Navy Revolver.

Dimitry’s weapons are in high demand. His latest work, the Caracal F pistol was on display at Abu Dhabi’s ADIHEX exposition to compliment the full size Caracal line of firearms:

Whether you’re a collector, historian, or just a firearm enthusiast Miniature Arsenal offers quite a few iconic guns.   We especially love the 1:3 scale M1919A4 Browning Machine Gun. Just big enough to place on your desk next to the iMac for cover.
