Furby: u-nye-loo-lay-doo?
Every year as the weather starts to turn cooler and the kids go back to school, I start to get a feel for the holiday presents I will need to get my hands on right away, for whatever reason smack in the middle of September, it all becomes crystal clear… time to dust off my credit card and grab one or two things that I know I probably wont be able to get my hands on if I wait!
Let me reintroduce you to Furby, a cool little critter you might remember from the late 90′s… Well, he’s back, and better than ever, with more expressive LCD eyes, a wider range of motions, and of course, its own iOS app. Furby responds to music or your voice, likes to be tickled or played with, and actually develops a personality based on the way you treat him.
You should know that Furby primarily speaks Furbish, but don’t worry, you can get some help with that, by downloading the free app that can give you a hand with translating, and the more you speak to your Furby, the more English he will eventually learn.
So if you think your child would enjoy a crazed, screaming little faux fur rodent-owl robot that will most certainly drive you 1000 miles past crazy – then Furby might be the perfect holiday gift! But you’d better get your hands on one quick, because they’re already sold out all over town.
