Recently Ubuntu has announced its venture into Smart Phone and Tablet market with its new product: Ubuntu OS for smart phones.

Few days back its developer version called Ubuntu Touch preview has been made available for initial testing.

Currently Ubuntu Touch preview can be installed limited number of devices,Such as

  • Samsung Galaxy Nexus
  • LG Nexus 4
  • ASUS Nexus 7
  • Samsung Nexus 10

OMG ! Ubuntu has released a excellent guide on Installing Ubuntu Touch Preview on Nexus Devices but the drawback is you have to flash your device inorder to install it.

Good news is now you can get features and look of Ubuntu Touch on Android by installing a Android App called Glovebox.

Glovebox is available in two versions Free and a Paid App.In free Apps it limits the number of Apps in launcher upto 8,No widget support and you can only adjust the opacity of launcher in paid version.

The App can be run in android version 1.5 and above and It  is still in its initial stage,So you may experience some bugs.
